In 1976, a group of French experts sat down, convinced that they knew exactly which were the best wines on the planet. That blind tasting, known as the Judgement of Paris, ended with a historic surprise: Californian wines defeated the great French classics and changed the rules of the game forever.

Fifty years on, the time has come to pose an equally provocative question: what would happen if we pitted our beers against some of the finest international brews?

And so The Battle of the Beers was born – a fun and surprising experience in which five Spanish beers take on five rivals from different corners of the world. Each round pits two beers with similar characteristics against one another to ensure a fair contest. Same style, same category and a single mission: to win over your palate.

But there’s one key condition. The labels are removed. No one knows what they’re drinking. No brands, no countries, no preconceptions. Just aroma, flavour and enjoyment.

Throughout the evening, participants will rate each beer as the five duels unfold. Between matches, some appetisers will be served to recharge your batteries, and the in-house sommelier will reveal stories, interesting facts and secrets about the styles, ingredients and brewing traditions of each country – because in this battle, you don’t just drink; you also learn and travel.

Finally, the moment everyone has been waiting for will arrive. The votes will be counted, the winner of each head-to-head will be announced and, finally, the overall result will be revealed. Will Spain emerge victorious? Or will the rest of the world come out on top?
