I attended a German Wine tasting, sampling different types of wine from different regions. You try wines you’ve never heard of before and learn so much not only about the world of wine but also about other cultures. All of this in a very pleasant setting. Overall, an excellent experience.

I recently attended an outstanding wine-tasting session at Catas Divertidas. The evening entailed a very interesting and detailed presentation, with fascinating insights into the origins, production and unique characteristics of each wine. Dieter’s expertise shone through as we learned about the background and tasting notes of every wine, and his passion and excitement for these wines was something that we came to share by the end of the evening. Each wine was presented with an exceptional food pairing and a clear explanation, making the experience enjoyable even for those without an extensive wine background. Dieter also shared fantastic wine tips and recommendations that were genuinely useful. From pairing suggestions to insights on optimal wine temperatures, these tips were practical and easy to follow, even for someone like me who doesn’t know much about wine. The interactive games added an element of fun, giving us all a chance to laugh, test our senses, engage with one another and win some prizes. The social atmosphere was warm and inviting, and it was a pleasure to share such a unique experience with a wonderful group of people. Dieter’s friendliness and passion for wine were evident throughout the evening, creating a welcoming and relaxed vibe. Overall, it was a perfect blend of education, enjoyment, and community, and I look forward to attending another session soon!

I recently went to this Spanish wine tasting on my own, feeling a bit nervous, but it turned out to be an absolute blast! The group was a brilliant mix of locals and travellers, and everyone was so lovely. It was also a good blend of novices and a few of us who’ve dabbled in wine tasting before, like myself. We tried 8 different wines, including a blind tasting that had a really surprising twist but I won’t spoil it! Our host, Dieter, was fantastic he made the whole thing fun and I felt welcome right from the start. The food pairings were spot on, with some unexpected bites I’d never tried before but absolutely loved. By the end of the night, I’d made some new friends, had a good laugh, and really enjoyed myself. If I’m ever back in Salamanca, I’ll definitely do it again. A really great evening all round!
